The establishment of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security (FAIX) marks a significant milestone for Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) as it steps boldly into the forefront of education and research within Malaysia's Technical University Network (MTUN) and on a national scale. Officially founded on July 22, 2024, FAIX embodies UTeM’s proactive approach to addressing the evolving demands of technology and higher education, all while aligning with the vision and aspirations set forth by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Under the esteemed leadership of Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Ts Dr. Massila Kamalrudin, UTeM is committed to becoming a primary driver in producing a workforce equipped with the necessary skills to meet the country’s ambitious goal of cultivating 200,000 AI specialists and 100,000 cyber security experts by 2030. This endeavor underscores Malaysia's aspiration to emerge as a regional technology leader, capable of competing within the global digital landscape.

FAIX is strategically designed to combine the core elements of Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security, which are not only relevant but critical to modern society and industries worldwide.
